We lost my Daddio in 2022 to COVID, but if you knew him, you know he wouldn’t want this to be a sad moment—he’d want us laughing, probably making a sarcastic comment, and then reminding me (for the millionth time) just how proud he was of me.

Daddio was my best friend, my voice of reason, and the guy who made sure Cam knew—without a doubt—that I would always be Daddy’s little girl. He loved Cam (even if he had to give him a hard time first) and loved us together. I know he’d be cracking jokes about the emotional mess I’ll probably be on this day, but also standing there, arms crossed, with that proud look he always had.

Even though he won’t physically be there, I know he’ll be watching over us—probably shaking his head at the crying and waiting for the perfect moment to make some sarcastic remark from above. His love, wisdom, and hilarious commentary will always be with me, and I’ll carry his memory in my heart as I walk down the aisle.

Cameron lost his grandpa in 2013, but not a day goes by that he doesn’t think of him and wish he were still here.
